It's the Little Things

It's the little things in my life that have been filling me with happiness lately.

The way my girl rubs my cheek when she is tired. Feeling baby boy kicks that stop me in my tracks and make me smile. Watching my hubby wearing a tutu or having a tea party because his little girl loves to play with him.

Those are the things in life that matter. Who cares if I live in a miniature house or if money gets tight at the end of the month. I have what really matters. I have family. I have love.

I like when this happens. When the things that I often take for granted start out-shinning the things that I think ought to make me happy.

I feel blessed. How about you?

XO Sarah

P.S. This post was cut short by a nap that was disturbed because of my neighbor's construction. But now I am blessed with a crabby AND cuddly two year old. What's better than that? :-)

  1. I feel blessed for my kids and my husband too. And for their clever sense of humor. I must say -your genuine, grounded outlook is priceless. Some people live their entire lives in superficial surroundings and never realize what you've stated here. Good for you! You rock!

  2. I love things like that. Sometimes I just like to slow down and stare at my kids when they are playing and having fun. It brings joy to my heart!

  3. I feel blessed that even after all that has happened, I'm still here to watch and write about my three kids.

  4. Aw- love posts like this! Life is about happiness- that is really all:)

  5. Thanks everyone! It is so easy for me to get caught up in "life'" that I forget what it's all about! XO Sarah

  6. Yes! Those are the real riches in life.

  7. I suddenly realized one day that when my kids don't nap at the same time, it's an opportunity to spend one-on-one time with each. I started to see that as a blessing (even though I don't necessarily want it to happen EVERY day. He he.)
