Pinterest Wednesday!

 Hi there!

Today is the end of Katie and Sherry's unofficial Pinterest Challenge! I never did figure out how to add their fancy banner to my page, but whatever!

In true Sarah fashion, I had millions of ideas running around in my head, started a few, and didn't really finish anything. I did do other Pinterest inspired things though!

I made this quick and easy party hat for Katey's son, Jake! I used this hat as inspiration. I also made him a little shirt to match, but I don't have any pictures.

Sorry for the horrible night time iPhone picture!

I am almost done painting this shelf my mom was throwing away. Actually, it was my dad. He likes to get rid of things that my mom is saving :)

It will hang over my new toilet as soon as I finish painting it. And then there is the part where I have to beg my hubby to help me hang it up....I guess I could do it myself. I am using this bathroom as inspiration for our only bathroom. It's the room I hate the most in my house. I will spare you a picture. Look at this prettiness instead.

Martha, of course. Sigh.
My bathroom looks nothing like this thanks to the lovely blue tile that we cannot afford to replace at the moment. Work with what you've got. That's my motto.

I also added this nifty thing to the inside of my bathroom cabinet. Try not to barf, but every door, cabinet, and piece of trim was painted this gorgeous shade of brown/tan when we moved in. Eww.

My inspiration.
I also finally hounded the hubby enough to hang up some frames over our TV. It's far from being done, but it's a good start! I need a few more frames and to order more pictures. I also need to cover up the ugliness that is the cable box. Baby steps.
You can check out my Pinterest board for all my inspiration pictures.
We also spent a lot of time playing!
Using chalk and paintbrush with water!

Doing the same thing out on the patio!

Dyed pasta and letter fun.
Time to go outside and enjoy the spring weather!

XOXO Sarah

  1. Looks good! I'm plugging away at some of the sewing projects I pinned (finished pants for Josiah and skirt for Gwen). Next week's preschool is y for yeast (baking) so I'm making up some felt cookies; it's taking forever to sew on all the little sprinkles! Why do I do this to myself??

Sometimes it takes forever to get stuff done around our house, too. But I try to look on the bright side - with all that time to think about the process maybe I'll come up with a better idea in the meantime! Our walls were blank for the longest time but they're slowly getting filled with pictures.
